We’d do groceries without a meal plan and then we would have to go back to the store multiple times a week to pick up ingredients we didn’t have for a meal we wanted to make. Some weeks ago, I finally created my family’s meal planner (which I am sharing with you). Hence, I’ve learned to go back to the basics: writing down our menu for the week! My old meal planner was the simplest of all– handwritten, full of erasures, but at least they served the purpose and saved my time and sanity. “Why can’t she decide? We have fresh meat and vegetables in the fridge!” My fault, I know. When cramped with work, calls like those could freak me out. And in times that I would miss giving instructions because I would be late or was super busy, I would expect to receive a text message or a call from her asking what to prepare. Since I used to go to work every day, before I leave home, I would instruct our helper what to cook for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
